My story

Meet Bentley! Bentley is a sensitive, sweet-natured pup who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly feel safe and start to build confidence. Naturally shy and cautious, Bentley takes his time warming up to new people and environments, but once he begins to trust, you’ll see a gentle, affectionate side emerge. He tends to be more hesitant around men than women, often needing extra time and patience with male figures in his life. A quiet home where people are willing to let him set the pace will help him flourish. Bentley gets along well with other dogs, especially when introduced slowly and respectfully—having a calm, well-mannered canine companion could even help him come out of his shell. He knows a few basic commands and is eager to learn more, but will benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training that builds his confidence without pressure. He is still working on house training, so his ideal adopters will be patient and consistent as he continues to develop good habits. Because of his shy and sometimes fearful nature, Bentley is best suited for a home with older children who can understand and respect his boundaries, giving him space when he needs it and quiet affection when he’s ready. What Bentley needs most is a gentle, reassuring presence—a family that sees his potential, meets him with patience, and gives him the stability to grow into the loving, loyal companion he’s meant to be. With the right guidance and plenty of heart, Bentley will reward that kindness with trust, devotion, and quiet companionship that runs deep.
