My story

LOCKET HAS BEEN IN A FOSTER HOME FOR OVER 1 YEAR - HELP US FIND HER FOREVER HOME!Locket is a sweet, silly gal and her sunny personality shines through! Building a relationship with her takes time, patience, and a lot of food-related bribery, but there is nothing more rewarding than a kiss on the nose from this girl. Locket will do best in a quiet, low traffic home where she can continue to build confidence at her pace.Locket would be content to roll in the grass, parade around with sticks, and chase squirrels in the backyard all day, but her absolute favorite thing is romping around with another dog. She would love to meet any potential canine siblings in her forever home.Locket has no known history with cats, but due to her prey drive with wildlife, it is not recommended that she live in a home with small animals or cats.Locket`s crate training is rock solid and she is potty trained with a routine schedule! She is even getting better at walking on leash and taking baths! If you want to meet her please email foster@kcpetproject.org.Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
