My story

Please read what Brisk’s foster family has to say about him. “Brisk is a wonderful, sweet dog and a great balance of very energetic and chill. He’s affectionate and cuddly, always wanting to give kisses and snuggling with his human family members. He’s perfectly potty trained and understands multiple commands. He is a very fast learner. He’s fiercely loyal and likes to stay close to his family, following us in the house, sleeping under my desk while I work and coming to cuddle when we’re sitting on chairs or the couch. Although he’s 60 pounds, he will sit on your lap like a much smaller dog! He sleeps in the bed with us or on the couch at night. Brisk doesn’t love being left alone for prolonged periods of time. I work at home, so he has a human with him most of the day. He wouldn’t do well in a situation where he would be left at home alone for hours. Brisk has a lot of energy and needs to exercised daily. We often go for long hikes or walks, play tug-of-war (his favorite) or catch in the yard. He has a thick coat and is sensitive to heat, so it’s important to be mindful of overheating him in warm weather. Brisk has gotten much better with leash reactivity and is only reactive if another dog barks at him. I often bring treats when we walk to distract. He seems to do best with female dogs or submissive males.” Brisk is a very smart, attentive, energetic and loyal dog. He would make a great companion for an active single person or family.
