Look at those markings! Puma is a striking 1 1/2 year old, female tuxedo. Puma was a pregnant relinquish to animal control. Puma does have feline herpes which is controllable. Puma may have flare up in a stressful situation. We HIGHLY recommend to seclude Puma when bringing her home as when she is in an active flare up, she can be contagious to other cats. If there is another cat in the home, we HIGHLY recommend all cats be upt to date on the FVRCP vaccination. Herpesvirus infection, also known as feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR), is an infectious disease caused by feline herpesvirus type-1 (FHV-1). As with other herpes viruses, the virus is very species-specific and is only known to cause infections in domestic and wild cats. The virus can infect cats of all ages. FVR is a major cause of upper respiratory disease in cats and is the most common cause of conjunctivitis (inflammation of the tissues surrounding the eye, especially the lining of the lids and the third eyelid).
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Puma, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
