Derby is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Derby is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Derby: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: He has done well with free roam when home alone for up to 6 hours, after taking a short time to settle. Leash walking: He has been reactive to other dogs he sees on walks, and will benefit from continuing with his positive reinforcement training to work on this Dog social: Not a match. Derby would be happiest as the only dog in his future home. Cat social: Not a match Kid friendly: He has done well in regular interactions with dog-savvy kids ages 7 and 10) and gets along very well with them when slowly introduced. Derby likes: - Getting the squeaker out of a stuffed toy - Belly rubs! - Looking out the window, between naps Derby loves to be where the people are, and will sit in whatever room you are working or relaxing in. He loves his people, his loyalty is unmatched. He is a very expressive boy, don't let the sad eyes fool you! We love his companionship and desire to be by your side at all times. Derby is not food motivated, but loves freshly cooked chicken breast! He can be playful but is happy to chill when you need some R&R. He loves pets, especially his belly rubs and face scratches. He is the sweetest boy looking for someone to love him. Derby has been taking behavior support medication to aid in his training goals, and has also been taking joint supplements. Derby's adoption fee is $300, and he is eager to share his heart and life with his forever family! **** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program.
