My story

Boon is an 8-year-old mix looking for a quiet and chilled life. He is both house and crate trained and walks well on leash. Boon doesnt need a lot of exercise and would be happy to have a yard to just hang out. Boon was adopted after spending his first year of life as a street dog in Egypt. After six years, his familys life had become too noisy and busy causing him a lot of stress. He became reactive to strangers and loud noises. After one year away from the stress, he learned to relax and adjust to a new life. Given his past, Boon needs time to warm up to new people. Once he gets to know you, he loves his people and enjoys a good snuggle. But he needs proper introductions first. The same thing goes for dogs.Booncan be good with other dogs but he's reactive initially. He could live with another chill dog (preferably female) or be the only dog in the home. Boon recently had a day out with new people, and the feedback was good: Boon loved belly rubs. He loved ear scritches. He loved all attention. We are in a corner lot, so the backyard is against a sidewalk. He only barked when other dogs barked at him. If they walked by quietly, he was quiet. And he never barked at dogless people. Boon was very good on the leash. He was great in the house. Was great with come and really good with sit. He leaned on everybody for pets. Boonwould love to be a companion for a single person or a couple, ideally in a quiet setting or neighbourhood.
