Looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will adore you endlessly? Meet Hugh, a lovable, devoted pup who just wants to be near his favorite person. Hugh is a dream on a leash and enjoys his daily walks, but his favorite thing in the world is being close to you. At home, he’ll follow you from room to room, always ready for pets. He’s polite about asking for affection—he’ll stand by your chair for some love and then gently place his front paws on your lap to help you reach more of him. But don’t worry, he knows when to give you space too! Once he’s had his fill of snuggles, he’s happy to nap on the couch or chew on a toy. While Hugh loves to cuddle, he’s also independent. He settles in just fine when left alone and will wait patiently for your return. At night, he enjoys sleeping in bed with you, but as he feels safer and more comfortable, he’ll start giving you a little more room. Hugh would thrive as the only pet in the home and would do best with older kids since he sometimes gets a little enthusiastic with his kisses. He’s a big fan of chew toys, treat puzzles, and lick mats, which help keep him happy and entertained. At heart, Hugh is a gentle, affectionate old soul who’s just looking for someone to love him, keep him close, and accept him for who he is.
