My story

✨ Meet Checkers! ✨ This beautiful 3-year-old foster kitty has come a long way since arriving with us at Furry Friends Refuge back in July 2024. She started out terrified—nose in the corner of the litter box, scaling walls to avoid humans—but now? She gives soft blinks of trust, enjoys gentle pets (on her terms!), and LOVES stalking us from around corners like a tiny ninja. 😄 Checkers is obsessed with wand toys and stuffed mice, especially when playing with her foster dad (aka the official Cat Whisperer 🐾). She's still a little shy, but every day she gets braver. She gets along with cats, and will ignore quiet dogs that ignore her too. She’d thrive in a peaceful, patient home where she can continue to blossom. 💖 Best part? She’s a sponsored cat—her adoption fee is covered! Interested?
