My story

Found wandering the streets of Lansing, Kaz was spotted by animal control due to his bow-legged walk, hinting at an underlying problem that required our assistance. However, despite this predicament, our strong boy was far from being reserved or hesitant; he was sociable, loving, and an absolute suckler for human affection. But the aura of joy shifted toward a stony silence when the results of Kaz's x-rays revealed a dreadful past. Amidst the medical jargon and clinical observations, one term particularly caught our attention – ‘both femurs smashed’. Evidently, Kaz had been subjected to horrendous trauma, leaving his legs damaged. And that wasn’t all; the fractures had likely healed incorrectly, suggesting he had endured ages of pain and distress completely alone before we found him. Despite the trauma visibly etched into Kaz's leg bones, he was, by some miracle, still pain-free. Upon taking Kaz to the vet, we learned that no further surgery was needed. The bones have healed, and the deformity cannot be corrected. Kaz may walk a bit differently, and as he ages, he might require some pain relief. But on the bright side, he's all set to find his forever home! This lovable boy is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, dewormed and flea-treated. He loves people and pettings and gets along great with other cats. He should be good with kids and dogs too, as long as the slow introduction method is used. If you are interested in adopting this sweet fella, you can fill out an adoption app here: www.tinyurl.com/AAOAdopt

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kaz, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
