Hi, my name is Ember! I get my name from the color of my fur- brindle. I am a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. I'm both potty and crate trained. I love doing zoomies and going on walks; my parents say that I'm a "dream on the leash because I don't pull (unless I need to potty really really bad). My favorite activity besides rolling on my back to play is to cuddle on the couch under blankets; I usually sleep curled up in a ball. Humans are always welcome to join me-I usually end up snuggled next to them anyways! My parents say that I'm quirky and unlike any other dog they've met; anyone that has pet-sat for me before agrees with them because I apparently take "medicine like it's candy. I think they're the quirky ones because I don't know what this "medicine stuff is; they're called treats, duh! Anyways, I do walk with a bit of a limp, especially after I've been laying down for a while. That's because I can get really big bursts of energy and my parents say that I hurt myself somehow and have something called a CCL rupture. They always tell me though that the doctors I've seen all say that I will be ok, that I'll just walk a little funny sometimes and need that "medicine stuff to keep me from hurting too bad. Even though I'm 3 years old, I do think I'm still a puppy at times-I'm sweet like one too! I LOVE to play with other dogs. I will play with anyone that will let me-size, shape, breed, you name it, I want to be their friend. As for human friends, everyone that comes over is coming over to see me. I love to help greet my parents' visitors and I always sniff (sometimes sneak a foot lick) to make sure everyone is a safe person. My parents say I'd "never hurt a fly which is true because I never have. Those buggers are fast, but oh so mesmerizing to watch. Of all the human friends I've ever met though, I think my favorite are the little ones. My parents call them "kids or "children. They're just my size and they smell sweet like treats! If I'm allowed, I give the best, most gentle kisses to those little humans (just like I was taught). If they'll play with me, my go-to game is chase. I'm so fast that they almost never catch me! Playing chase is so much fun! Oh, and one more thing: I mentioned that I love treats because, let's be honest, who doesn't? Anyways, one of my favorite treats is something my parents call "ice. It's so cold, yet crunchy and just oh so good! It goes away pretty fast though, even if I don't get to eat it all, but there's always a "next time. Anytime my parents get into the freezer (if I'm around and hear it open), they give me a piece. I have to sit to get it, which does remind me of ONE final thing: I know how to sit, lay down, [walk] back[wards], down/off, and stay/wait. I'm the goodest girl! I'm looking for a new fur-ever home. Can I be your dog? Kisses and treats, Ember Ember is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster.
