My story

Meet Miss Foxy! This sweet girl is a little under 2 yrs old and weighs in at 46 pounds. She has an easy-going temperament with medium energy and moderate exercise needs. She loves being outside, whether that be sunbathing in the backyard, going for a walk, or having a picnic at a park. She's also very mellow in the house and is happy to lounge around most of the time.  Miss Foxy is friendly around new people, but can be a little shy at first. She LOVES other dogs and, although she's content as a solo dog, she would probably enjoy a home with a doggy playmate. She's very smart, food-motivated, and a quick learner. She knows some basic commands, but she has a stubborn streak and can be selectively obedient at times.  Her loose-leash walking is coming along nicely. She's not a digger. She's great during car rides. She's not a nuisance barker. She will raid the trash or counter surf, but only if there's something high reward like chicken available.  Miss Foxy did, unfortunately, inherit the husky escape artist gene, and has a history of both door-darting and breaking out. She's started learning threshold boundaries in her foster home, but she's going to need ongoing training and reinforcement in that area. For more, follow her on instagram @MissFoxyTheShusky         November 11, 2024, 12:31 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Miss Foxy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
