My story

We took Jack-Jack in from a local shelter where he'd been adopted and returned for wanting too much attention. We're just as sad and shocked as you are!   As you can see from his photos, Jack-Jack was literally begging us to help him. How could we say no?  Jack-Jack loves to play and romp around and would love to have a new kitty friend to play with. This super social young man will absolutely win your heart as soon as you meet him!  We're still getting to know Jack-Jack so stay tuned for updates as we get to know him more. So far we've learned that this sweet boy is very playful and LOVES people. Wherever the action is, that's where Jack-Jack wants to be. He has the sweetest little face and would love to be adopted with his friend from the shelter, Purrince Harry, or into a home with another kitty for him to play with.  RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home.  The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2094589##
