My story

ADOPT JOAN JETT F | 2Y | 25.4 KG | Mixed Breed | UTD on shots | Spayed | Dog tested - proper introductions needed | Cat tested | Kid tested - Dog saavy kids | High energy | Playful | Affectionate | Gentle | Instagram: @fostersofliliana Joan Jett is getting the (new) band back together (for the first time)! This little rockstar has almost as much energy as she does love to give. She's a natural lead vocalist who likes to show it off, but she's quickly learning that she doesn't need to show off to everyone. She's picking up the "place" command and is learning not to sing when people come over, or the mailman - who her foster mom insists is trustworthy (she's still not convinced) - stops by, or when she just needs a little downtime. Exploring the outdoors is her passion - the wind in her ears, the sun on her fur, the smell of garbage day fresh in the air. Sometimes she even gets a little too excited and forgets that her foster mom only has two legs - so she's been working hard and succeeding at learning "heel." She responds well to a prong collar for corrections as long as her handler is calm and confident. Joan Jett is almost too smart for her own good. She's fluent in "treat," which means she'll pick up what you're putting down... as long there's a treat that comes down with it. Just don't be surprised if she outsmarts you sometimes, okay? She also accepts games of tug as payment for her demonstrations of skill and intelligence! She currently coexists well with her two foster siblings (fellow doggos) and she'd likely do well with a forever doggy sibling if proper introductions are given and boundaries are in place; however, she gets along best with smaller, male dogs and she's working hard on her comfort level around larger, female dogs, and dogs who match her energy. She has been cat tested and - given proper introductions and boundaries - she could do well with a feline sibling! She also does well with dog-savvy kids and would love a human kid to grow up with as well. Apply to bring this little lady home before she goes on tour and you miss your chance!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Joan Jett, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
