My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Carly is a sweet, friendly girl. She can be timid at first with both people and dogs. She weighs about 40 pounds which makes her the perfect size. She walks well on the leash. She has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and now ready to find a furever home. Carly is that want to be outside all day type of dog, she loves to sit outside, so a fenced yard would be nice. She comes in at dark and will often crawl into my lap. Obviously not out all day in winter. She has a high prey drive, so I would not trust her off leash out of a yard without getting intensive training first. Carly loves playing with other dogs and is very athletic. Please visit our website for more pictures of this dog and info on our adoption process and application which is located on the left column under "forms & applications" :                            https://barkdogfarm.org Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only. This is usually done meet outdoors so please dress accordingly. Please email barkingdogfrm@gmail.com with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 20, 2025, 10:45 am
