My story

`Don’t let her tough girl act fool you, Star is super sweet and loves affection, just on her terms. She really opened up in foster with us. It took some time but her personality started to come out each day and she was so funny! She will follow you around by your ankles in the kitchen, rub up against you, and talk to you with her little chirps. She really enjoys making biscuits in bed, chin scratches, cat nip, fun toys and rolling around on her back near you. She also enjoys sitting at the dining table with everyone! As time went on she was more tolerant of being picked up as well! We think she would do best in a home without small children as she likes to be independent and has some boundaries when it comes to being touched, but with the right family I know she would be a delight. She has a lot of love to give she’s just a little stubborn! We heard that she wasn’t so happy being in a room with other cats in the shelter but I have a theory that she would enjoy an animal companion if introduced slowly as she seemed to get bored/lonely when we were asleep or out of the house, at times waking us up as if to say `hey, are you alive? It’s time to wake up and play!``
