My story

Meet Luna, a resilient and beautiful black cat with a heart full of love and a spirit full of adventure! Luna was found abandoned outside with her newborn kittens, doing everything she could to keep them safe. Luckily, she was brought to Anderson Humane, where she cared for her kittens in a foster home until they were old enough to be spayed and neutered. While all of her kittens have found wonderful homes, Luna is still waiting for the forever family she so truly deserves. Luna is a smart, confident, and active explorer who loves to play! Even as a senior, she has boundless energy and a special fondness for feather toys, showing off her acrobatic skills with impressive double twists midair as she captures her prey. She is affectionate once you've earned her trust and will cuddle up next to you every night for a peaceful sleep. However, don’t expect any cuddles during the day—Luna’s priorities are all about playtime! A stunning black cat with the elegance of a black panther, Luna has adapted well to living with dogs and even a resident bird in her foster home. However, she needs to be the only cat in her forever home to thrive. If you're looking for an active, loving companion who will keep you entertained with her playful nature and make you feel special with her affection, Luna just might be the perfect match for you! Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
