My story

Meet Sonny, who looks like a chihuahua on stilts! (Perhaps a chi whippet mix?) Since being euth-listed at an overcrowded shelter, this toy-loving cuddle bug has really come out of his shell. Sonny gets along swimmingly with his foster sister and loves to chase her with a ball. He runs like a little gazelle, enjoys walking on a leash, and is housetrained. (Sonny does tend to pull on the leash and bark when he sees other dogs.) He can't get enough of his squeaky toys and is obsessed with butt rubs. Sonny loves to burrow under covers and sleep between his foster mama’s legs. Cuddle-bug is an understatement! Sonny weighs about 17 pounds, and we believe he's between five and seven years old. He seems to have a bit of hearing loss, according to his foster mom. Because of his energy level and exuberance, we are looking for an adults only home or a home with children aged 12 and over. We believe Sonny would do best in a home with a yard and another doggy buddy.
