My story

Meet Roxie! She is a 3 yr old spayed female American Pitbull mix that weighs 56 lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/27 as an owner surrender. Reason for surrender was the family was having a medical hardship which didn`t allow much time to be spent with Roxie. She has a beautiful brindle coat and does appear to have been well cared for. She is always so happy and bubbly to everyone she meets. Always a tail wag, a big smile and wants to cuddle close to her human companion. And she will make sure you will smile, slathering you with a kiss. She has a very gentle loving personality. She walks well on a leash, takes treats gently and maybe housetrained. Walking through the shelter she did not show an interest in any of the dogs barking at her. We do always ask if there is another dog in the home, to please ask the shelter for a dog test. This lovely little girl would love to find her own loving home where she lives indoors where it is nice and cool, then have a secured backyard to run and play in, always returning inside. You could not ask for a better pup to add such happiness into your life. Come spend time with her and you cannot help but smile!
