My story

**Skittles is currently in a Foster Home but she is available for adoption! Email our Population Supervisor, Alex Heath, at aheath@hsswmo.org to set up an appointment to meet her!**Skittles is a 5-year-old female Domestic Shorthair mix currently in foster care while searching for her forever family. Skittles is a very laid back, low maintenance kitty. She does play with toys occasionally but prefers long naps in a sunbeam. Due to previous dental disease, most of her teeth have been removed. She can still eat hard food but definitely likes her canned food. She gets excited when you enter the room and makes cute chirps when she’s receiving affection! Skittles loves to be brushed and even likes her belly rubbed. Shelter life was very stressful for her and she started over-grooming. Since being in a foster home, her hair has all grown back. She’s no longer stressed but she is confined to one room in the foster`s home and would love to have a home of her own where she can receive all the attention. Skittles was surrendered with another cat so she would likely do well with another laid back cat with appropriate introductions of course. Her foster can dog test her if that’s something that needs to be considered! If you are interested in meeting Skittles, arrangements can be made for her foster to bring her to the shelter for a meet and greet.
