My story

Juno has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure, but she’s still here—tail wagging, eyes bright, and hoping that someone sees her for who she truly is. She was found abandoned, painfully skinny and shaking, with sores on her legs and a prong collar still around her neck. But from the very first moment, Juno showed her heart. She clung to her finder, seeking comfort and connection, and allowed handling with a gentleness that speaks volumes about her resilience. Since then, she’s continued to be a favorite among volunteers, showing affection, curiosity, and an ever-growing eagerness to please. She knows her commands, rides beautifully in the car, and has shown nothing but love toward her people. Juno does have her challenges—shelter life is hard on her, especially when other animals are nearby. While she’s made strides, she’s not a fan of other dogs or cats, and would thrive best as the only pet in a calm, structured home. She’s strong on leash and has a big personality, so her future family should be prepared for a little muscle and a lot of heart. But for all she’s been through, Juno remains affectionate, smart, and deeply loving. She just needs someone to choose her, finally and forever. This animal is staying in a foster home and is not at the shelter. Please put in an inquiry and an adoption counselor will contact you with the next steps. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
