My story

Oz aka Tanner - a charming and adorable furry friend in need of a loving FOREVER home to call his own! He originally came into the shelter May 3, 2024 with his brother Knox. He was adopted and returned February 24, 2025 for not getting along with some of the other animals in the home. He is ready for his real FOREVER home. Oz is now current on his vaccinations, house broken, and neutered. If you're looking for a fun and playful pooch with lots of love to give, look no further. Oz aka Tanner is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves nothing more than showing his loyalty to his special persons. He is smart and gentle, and he has a knack for winning over everyone he meets. A well-rounded pup who loves kisses and adventures. He is always up for a game of fetch, a nice walk in the park, or a cozy nap on the couch. He is a true charmer and will steal your heart and bring smiles on your face daily. If you're willing to open your heart and home to this special boy, Oz will be your lifelong companion and best friend. We hope that Oz finds his forever home soon, where he can continue to spread love and joy to his new family. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.
