My story

Meet MJ – Your Loyal, Chirpy, Sun-Basking Sidekick
 MJ is a 3-year-old, medium-haired tortie beauty with a speckled gaze, a silky-soft coat, and a huge personality packed into a petite purring package. She’s affectionate, but on her own terms—a scritch enthusiast rather than a lap cat. MJ adores chest, belly and head pets, and when she’s extra cozy, she may even fall asleep with her head resting on your hand. It’s a rare honor, and she knows it. This clever girl communicates with a series of adorable mumble-chirps to say hello and has recently begun yelling (politely) when it’s time to play. She’s also taken up fly-hunting and takes her duties as bathroom bodyguard very seriously—stationing herself by the shower or toilet to ensure her human is safe and supervised. When not on patrol or play duty, MJ enjoys lounging on her window shelf to soak up the sun and watch the world go by. At night, she gathers her toys and leaves them by her food bowl like thoughtful little gifts. MJ is FIV positive, which sounds intimidating but really isn’t! Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and safely share a home with FIV-negative cats—as long as everyone gets along and there's no serious fighting leading to DEEP bite wounds. A slow, thoughtful introduction is key to harmony. That said, MJ would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only queen, soaking up all the love and attention for herself. Either way, she’s ready to thrive in a safe, indoor-only home. If you're looking for a quirky, loyal, fiercely loving companion who chirps hello, keeps the flies at bay, and might just nap on your hand if you earn her trust, MJ is waiting to meet you.
