My story

Meet Sherranda, a sweet and shy 4-year-old mixed breed who has already had quite a journey. Rescued from Honduras, she made her way to Big Dog Ranch in search of safety, love, and a forever family. She was adopted once, but sadly returned through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her. Sherranda has a low energy level and would make a lovely companion for someone seeking a calm, loyal dog. She does best with experienced dog owners who understand how to nurture a more timid pup and help her feel safe and confident. Her gentle demeanor also makes her a great match for seniors looking for a quiet friend to share their days with. She’s good on a leash, knows basic commands, and does well with other dogs. Sherranda loves to cuddle, enjoys toys, and is perfectly content in an apartment or condo setting. Her shy nature means she may need a little extra time to open up, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a faithful and loving friend for life.
