My story

URGENT: 01/20/25 22:34 Dog exhibits signs of stress, anxiety, and OCD/stereotypic behaviors in kennel. Compulsively licks walls and presses muzzle into corner of kennel, panting, extremely agitated during these behaviors. Fresh abrasions on nose appear to be from self trauma. Pet urgently needs a foster, rescue or adopter. Not faring well behaviorally/psychologically in shelter setting. -NW03/31/25 20:46 Dog has recurring superficial skin infections (pyoderma) likely related to underlying allergies; she will respond to courses of antibiotics and anti-itch medications, but the skin issues will recur. Recommend rescue or adopter see their veterinarian to discuss allergy management and prevention of flare-ups. Pet will benefit from topical therapies such as medicated baths on a more regular basis. -NW05/30/25 11:14 S.Zarate, Dog was brought back from foster today by P452107.06/01/25 20:54 Recurrence of callus pyoderma and compulsive/repetitive behaviors in kennel. Pet needs rescue or adopter who can provide more individualized care for dermatitis. Consider hydrotherapy and epsom salt soaks of affected areas; medicated baths and frequently applied topical therapies to soften calluses; reduction of skin trauma/pressure with soft bedding. Relieving skin trauma at pressure points is the best preventive measure. Also needs management of skin allergies. Consider further workup with a dermatologist or your GP veterinarian.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt *MEADOW, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
