My story

Midnight isn't your average void- I mean, cat. Sure, she climbs on top of your kitchen cabinets, gives you a judging stare as you eat an entire pack of Oreos in one sitting, and turns into a cheetah around midnight (huh...) every night when she breaks the sound barrier sprinting through your house. She's also emotionally distant... which makes it even more meaningful and rewarding when you gain trust with her and she becomes an affectionate sweetie. Midnight has a mysterious past and is very wary of strangers. She's particular about whom she shares her space with, and is looking for a peaceful home where her boundaries are respected and she won't feel like she needs to be on high alert. Midnight is low maintenance cat and is perfect for those who are looking for a chill cat who will keep them company but not require cuddles, pets or playing all day. Those who're still reading should know that while building trust with Midnight does require effort and patience, she is worth it. She's playful, funny, and loving albeit not in a physical, cuddly way. When Midnight knows you care about her, you'll find her constantly, quietly at your side, lounging, staring, or maybe (not quietly) viciously wrestling with a toy fish. Her tendency to be overstimulated makes your heart flutter when you lightly touch her head and she gives you the okay to pet her. When Midnight snuggles up on a blanket next to you, it warms your heart when you think about how far you've both come. Midnight isn't your average cat, but a special home willing to put in the time and effort will find her an affectionate and loving companion. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for cats over six months to seven years is $100, kittens under six months is $150, cats eight years and over are $50 unless specified otherwise. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-cats/.
