Huck

My story

Chihuahua / Cattle Dog Mix Age: 4-5 yrs Male, neutered 11 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Huck came to the Stockton shelter in a very emaciated state. The shelter tried to help him gain weight, but because of overcrowding, the other dogs in the shared kennel ate Huck’s food before he could. They tried placing him in a foster home, but he ended up jumping out of his foster’s arms and breaking his front leg. UC Davis performed surgery to repair the leg, then the shelter contacted us to rescue him. Huck is eating well and has gained back his weight. He is under socialized but getting more confident with people. He is good with other dogs and likes to play with friendly dogs his size. His foster mom is working on his leash skills. Huck needs a home with another friendly dog(s) around his size that he can bond with, and continue building his trust with the humans in the home.
