My story

Please note, if you are looking for an immediately friendly or affectionate cat, Cami is not a good fit. Cami needs time and patience to decompress and adjust.This gorgeous girl is Camila or Cami for short! Camila was surrendered to us after her owners were faced with health issues beyond their control. She was well-loved and very spoiled, so we're hoping to find her a new home that will do the same! She is 4.5 years old and a larger sized cat, weighing around 11lbs. She is understandably very stressed and upset at the shelter. She currently does not allow petting, beyond her one trusted staff member. We hope with ample time and patience in a quiet environment away from cats she will start to trust people again and feel safe. She will require an experienced cat owner who understands she likely will take lots of work to become friends with as she is very feisty here. Camila lived as an only pet in her previous home and is looking for a home with no children.Camila is front paw declawed, so she feels she cannot use swatting to protect herself. At this time, Cami needs routine grooming/haircuts to upkeep her coat.
