My story

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh — you’re here! I’m SO excited to meet you! I’m Cassandra, a 3-year-old, 29-pound heeler mix, and I’m basically the perfect combo of playful, smart, and SUPER snuggly! I came from a busy shelter in South Carolina, and I’ve been waiting for someone to notice just how awesome I am. Could that be YOU?! Okay, here’s the scoop: I’m part dog, part gymnast, and 100% Velcro buddy. Seriously, I’m always ready for action! I can zoom around the yard, leap over my doggy friends like an acrobat, and then — BAM! — I’m curled up next to you, ready for belly rubs and snuggles. I’m also a brainiac! I LOVE puzzle toys, learning new tricks, and using my super-smart heeler mind to figure out games. Give me a job, and I’m all in! Now, about my ideal home — I’ve got a few requests, but nothing too crazy! I’m a little too interested in cats, so I’d prefer a home without them. Kids? Hmmm… I get a little overwhelmed by tiny humans, so I’d do best with adults or older teens. But dogs? Oh yes, please! I love playing with dogs my size or bigger, especially if they’re cool with my playful energy. Just make sure I get plenty of love and attention because I might be a little bit of a diva when it comes to sharing my humans. I’m a total cuddle bug and LOVE being near my people — I’m a classic “Velcro dog” who wants to be wherever you are. I’ll happily go on walks, hang out on the couch, or work on fun training games with you. And speaking of walks… I’m great on leash, but sometimes I get a little TOO excited when I see other dogs, cars, or people. I’m working on it, though! I just need someone who’s willing to help me practice and build my confidence. Oh, and one more thing — I’m a puzzle master! If you give me a puzzle with treats or a fun toy to figure out, I’ll be all over it. I also LOVE flirt pole games (they’re like a chase game, and I’m SO good at it). If you give me a sniffari (that’s a fancy word for a sniffing adventure), I’ll be the happiest girl ever! So, what do you think? Are you ready for a fun, energetic, and endlessly loving best friend?
