My story

LuLu -Paws Behind Bars Trained Lulu is Belgian Shepherd mix, and as such, she is a smart, athletic, bundle of energy. Our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program has been beneficial to setting LuLu up for success . She quickly mastered her obedience training and is able to work on her social skills in all different kinds of situations. LuLu will do best in a home with an owner who has working dog experience. We already see that If LuLu isn't "working, she is looking for puppy mischief. She will need plenty of physical AND mental exercise. At her age, she can be successfully introduced to other dog(s) in the home but we are recommending young male dogs. LuLu is NOT a good fit for small children or cats. She does fine with teenagers. Her home will need a fenced in yard. Most importantly, she needs an owner who will maintain her training and understand her high drive to please and "work". IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind LuLu is under an year old with a life expectancy of 12 + years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life.
