Bruiser von Brodersdorf is a stunning, large-boned, 4-month-old German Shepherd mix puppy. Possibly mixed with Golden Retriever, Bruiser is 47 pounds of pure joy (and growing). So, if you ever asked what the weight of happiness is — now you know! Bruiser asked us if you have a home full of toys, playtime, walks, interesting smells and other dogs? Speaking of other dogs, Bruiser came in with his brother Brutus, and we simply cannot name a more iconic duo. Bruiser adores his brother (and also every dog and person he’s ever met. Cats? Not so much.) Bruiser would love to go home with Brutus or he wants another dog in the house. For such a young pupil, he’s acing all his exams, taking top scores in sit, down, walking on a leash and taking treats. We can’t get enough of watching Curious Bruiser explore the world around him on walks; there are so many smells to smell and people and pets to meet. Speaking of people, are you the one Bruiser’s been looking for? IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Bruiser von Brodersdorf YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bruiser von Brodersdorf, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
