ADOPTION FEE: $500 Meet Becca! This beautiful girl is ready to find her forever home! Bonus: we're pretty sure her satellite ears get all the local channels. FROM THEIR FOSTERS: 4/18 Meet Becca! This girl is a playful, affectionate, and super smart German Shepherd mix with a big heart and even bigger personality (to match her ears)! She would love to go to a home with another high-energy dog to romp around and play with! She’s happiest when she has a buddy to keep her entertained. Becca is 100% potty trained, knows her basic obedience commands, and is 99% crate trained—she may be a little chatty at first but settles down quickly. Like many shepherds, she has some stranger danger, but she’s easily redirected and warms up well with proper introductions and lots of treats! On leash, Becca is about 90% there, she’s learning leash pressure and loose leash walking, and she responds well to corrections when she gets excited by cars, bikes, or animals. She’s incredibly quick to learn and will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and reinforce positive behaviors and impulse control! When she’s not bouncing around playing with her foster sibling, Becca loves to snuggle and soak up all the affection she can get. She’s a curious, sassy, and silly girl who’s sure to keep you laughing! Becca is highly food motivated! She loves to work for her food and will pull out all her tricks for a high value treat! She loves to play with all the toys and has enjoyed some puzzles as well! Becca would be good in a home with kids who can both set and respect boundaries with Becca! She loves play but doesn’t always know her size/ strength! Overall she’s very much a lover as long as she has time to understand she’s part of your pack! If you’re looking for a smart, fun, energetic, and cuddly companion with tons of potential, Becca might just be your perfect match! 4/9 Becca loves playing with our dog. I would highly recommend her having a friend to play with as it helps with all her adorable puppy energy! Yes, she barks as strangers approach the house but once she realizes we are okay with it, then she quickly follows suit. She is gentle and goofy. She is curious and chill. I cannot say enough great things about her. Everyone who meets her loves her! From her amazing foster: 4/4: By the end of the second week this sweet girl was comfortable being herself. She is playing or napping there is no in between. She loves being outside either sunbathing or standing guard. Becca is attentive and curious. She needs toys to play tug of war at all times. She is delicate with food and doesn’t eat just anything. She is the sweetest girl. 🥰 From her current foster: 3/27 "Becca loves to play. First thing in the morning she wants food, a potty break and then it’s time to play. She can play for hours. She sleeps so well after! She is a water dog! We have been working on sit, she mostly needs a treat to sit. She does not do well with the dogs on the other side of the fence. If she can’t see the dog it’s hard for her to disengage. Also, going on walks is difficult if there are too many cars. Walking in the neighborhood versus the main road works best for us. She’s been loving towards everyone she's met after a minute or so. She’s a sweet pup!" 3/20 "Becca definitely identifies as BB. She is made herself at home rather quickly. She hasn’t had any issue with her foster dad from the moment they met. She sits at the front door for a long time watching as the kids play in the street. She’s been playing with our 4 year old Pitbull perfectly. Tug of war is their favorite. They tire each other out! She does bark at the neighbors dogs through the fence. We have been working on commands like “sit”, “stay”, and “out”. Out is when we want her out of the kitchen. She is very smart and curious." "Becca has been getting better every day! She loves to play fetch, go in the car, lay in your lap and chew on toys. She is very protective of her people and takes a bit to adjust to new people. She has worked a lot on getting used to men and passing cars. She is just a big puppy that doesn't know how big she is. She settles down in her kennel really good and sleeps all night. Becca is really good at sitting and listening to commands when you have her focus, She really is a love bug!!" We have lovingly nick named Becca as Bumble B. B will come when you call, sit and lay down. She is crate trained (barking/whinning is a test if you will really leave her in there and subsides quickly once comfortable in the home). B LOVES; playing with other dogs, splashing in her water bowl, chasing sprinklers, a good game of tug-o-war, and getting all the attention. She will provide you with tons of love and laughs free of charge. However, B will protect you fiercely. She has stranger danger and does not want anyone in her home that she thinks doesn't belong (A shower does make you a new person, but for only a moment). I would not list her as cat friendly at this time, and with kids I would be cautious. We had one nip (no broken skin) but since then we have had zeros issues biting intentionally. She is still a puppy meaning she can be mouthy, and no toes are not off limits. This silly Bumble B needs someone as special as her. Someone who will take the time to work through her fears, and provide her with the stability/structure she needs!" Her previous foster says that "Becca has become a cuddle enthusiast. She's learned "sit and come." She's still working on potty training but is having fewer and fewer accidents indoors. She sleeps in the bed with us and sleeps through the night with no potty accidents. She chases cars but we're working on that. She's overcome her fear of strangers! She also plays well with other dogs. She will definitely need a home that can provide lots of exercise and stimulation. She's a very smart girl but requires a lot of patience because she's mischievous haha." We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Petco in Fort Collins (2211 S College Ave. STE 200, Fort Collins, CO 80525)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Becca, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
