Poky

My story

Those sweet eyes tell a story of heartbreak in his lifetime. Poky was near death as he entered the euthanasia room at the shelter. We were able to get him to safety. Once he made it to Ohio from Texas, Poky started the long process of undergoing heartworm treatment. He survived that as well and is now heartworm negative and ready to find a family to love and to love him.. This sweet guy would do better with older kids as he can become a bit grouchy. He gets along with most dogs as long as they are introduced correctly. He does tend to resource guard and will over eat if allowed to do so. Poky is not 100 % housebroken, but does very well. He just needs a little more work and if left for very long periods of time may need a belly band to help him. Poky is a very loving guy to his people once he gets to know you.
