My story

Microchipped, DOB: Feb 13, 2022 Aimee is an incredibly sweet and gentle cat. She has beautiful beige and gray tabby stripes and an adorable “what’s going on?” look in her eyes. She is very good natured and full of joy! She loves to play and is really adorable when she gets the zoomies since she is a bit plump and can sometimes slip and slide on the hardwood floors. She is not fussy about food and will always come running if food or treats are being offered! Aimee was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Quebec and placed in a TCR foster home for socialization. At first since she was not used to being touched she would raise her paw as if to swat when she saw a hand near her. But with a bit of time she realized that she was in a safe place and now she loves being petted (as long as she can smell your hand first) and she purrs easily. She may run away when approached but she will let herself be picked up if only for a minute or two. Aimee is good with other cats and dogs, as long as they are friendly with her. She would benefit from being adopted into a home with another friendly cat that would help her become completely social and also become her buddy. Since we do not know her background other than that she was a stray we recommend no small children – but older children that are experienced with cats are fine. Aimee loves to look out the window and will trill and coo when she sees birds and squirrels. She will sleep on a chair close by, but she has still not ventured onto the couch with her foster family. She is still a bit timid and cautious about new things but this will resolve over time. Aimee is a very good natured girl that just needs a bit of time in a patient home where she can become totally comfortable on her socialization journey. Aimee is looking for her forever home where she will feel safe and loved.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Aimee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
