My story

Reserved, Fluffy, Lovable Please give a very special welcome to a very special girl, Queen Bee; a regal lady eagerly hoping to find her furever home. Queen Bee is blind, but don't consider that a disability. Blind cats are amazing! They learn to navigate their environment using their superpower hearing and memory. Just let Queen Bee know where things are and soon she will be walking around the house like a cat with perfect vision. In just a short time in her foster home she has memorized the locations of her water, food, and litter box. Due to her blindness, Queen Bee responds especially well to tactile displays of affection. She appreciates cheek rubs and will gratefully lean her face into your hand while receiving them. She is also very fond of having her beautiful coat brushed. She will express her happiness during both these occasions by letting out deep, rumbling purrs of satisfaction. You'll definitely want to feel them against your hands! Queen Bee is not a very active kitty. She needs something noisy, like a crinkly mouse or a ball with bells, to entice her into playtime. Her favorite toy is her cardboard scratcher, but she mostly uses it as a home base for lounging and sleeping. Her ideal home is with a loving and patient family and consistent surroundings. Once you've given her the time to map out her environment, she will soon be able to navigate so well that you may sometimes even forget she is vision impaired at all. Are you ready to welcome a little bit of feline royalty into your life? Contact us about Queen Bee today! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Queen Bee, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Queen Bee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
