Meet Maddie: The 120-Pound Lap Dog You Didn’t Know You Needed Maddie is a 3-year-old Great Dane who identifies as a teacup poodle. She has no idea she's the size of a small horse and will absolutely try to sit on your lap like a dainty little chihuahua. Graceful? Not even a little. Adorable? 1000%. She’s the CEO of Goofiness, with a PhD in Drooling. Her superpower? Turning plain water into a mysterious goo that defies science and clings to every surface you love. She thinks sprinklers are a playground, and your clean clothes are her personal towel. Maddie loves other dogs—so much that she tends to forget she’s not a 12-pound pug. Her playstyle is best described as “affectionately bulldozing,” so while her heart is enormous, her self-awareness… is still buffering. For that reason, we think Maddie would thrive as an only dog, not because she’s mean (she’s not!), but because she just can’t tone down the enthusiasm. She’s the friend who hugs too hard and doesn’t know when to stop. Maddie is sweet, snuggly, and adores people like it’s her full-time job. Everyone who meets her falls in love—usually while wiping drool off their pants. She’s ready to be someone’s oversized shadow, loyal couch potato, and enthusiastic walking buddy (emphasis on enthusiastic). If you’ve got a big heart, a good sense of humor, and don’t mind sharing your space with a lovable goober who thinks she’s people, Maddie might just be your soulmate.
