Evangeline is best described by her foster parents as “She really is the most perfect, quiet, chill, queen of the house cat.” This sweet kitty can read the room and will seek out the folks who need the most love. She spends her free time soaking up the sun and watching groups of people interact. She may not be your average lap cat, and prefers her space, but she will absolutely join you on the couch and sleeps at the foot of her foster parents’ bed. This kitty isn’t bothered by groups or loud noises, and hopes new people will seek her out; preferably with treats. Evangeline loves anything with enclosed catnip, and any type of string that can move like a toy, which she will happily play with. When she is in a very cuddly mood, she’ll seek out pets by pawing at her foster dad’s hands or putting her head on their legs. This sweet cat was in a cage for almost half of a year before being brought to the Chicago Cat Rescue so she’s put on some weight from her time not being able to run around a forever home. Evangeline is perfect for a house full of very busy people who need a cuddly cat to remind them to take a moment and rest/breathe/enjoy life for a while. If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please. CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home. At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone. Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home. Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Evangeline, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
