Benny

My story

Benny came to Abbey Cats after a stressful time in a shelter. He is like a big, fluffy teddy bear and a very lovable, sweet, and affectionate kitty. He is friendly and relaxed and not particularly interested in playing, although from time to time he will make half-hearted efforts to swat the cat dancer or chase balls across the floor. Benny likes being around his humans and follows them around, needing to know where they are. Once he's located them, he flops down in a comfortable spot nearby. He prefers to lounge on the bed or the couch rather than on his human's lap but is happy to be within reach to receive a quick grooming with the brush. He enjoys body rubs, but sometimes grabs his human's hands and gives them a nip. Benny is not a fussy eater although he is a big boy with an appetite to match and is not shy in letting his human know when it's time to be fed. Benny would do well in a home where someone is often at home to give him the attention he likes and someone to talk to -- he is sometimes quite an opinionated kitty! He would not do well in a home with younger children because of his tendency to nip. Benny would prefer to be an only cat because of his stressful experience at the shelter among so many cats.
