My story

Handsome Oscar needs to be rehomed. His dad has developed allergies to both cats and dogs. He might be able to tolerate one cat in the household but then Oscar won't have a friend. Dad works long hours and this friendly and playful guy will be alone. Have to do what's best for Oscar. Meet handsome Oscar with his classic tabby markings. Don't you love those swirls! This lucky boy was taken off the street right before the cold weather came upon us. He is learning new things everyday. So much fun to watch him learn what to do with a new toy-swat it, chase it, flip it in the air. While he is a shy fellow who takes time to warm up to new people, he shows his foster mom his belly, which we know is a sign of trust. Oscar likes to be brushed from head to tail. He will make it easy for you. Just hold out the brush and he walks back and forth under it-feels so good. Put out your cupped hand and he will place his head in it to get a good chin and neck rub. When that is finished Oscar will give you a kiss with his eyes and melt your heart. Can't go wrong with an orange guy. They are always curious and playful. Oscar would like a best friend-both 2 legged and 4 legged to keep him company. Oscar was born Nov. 2020, is up to date with shots, neutered, negative for FIV / FELV, and microchipped. He can be seen in his home by appointment For more information contact SICAW at 718.948.5623, Mon-Sat 9am-8pm. We're based in Staten Island, New York. Home visit required for adoption.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oscar, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
