My story

Hello my name is Toby. 💙 I am a nine pound chihuahua. I've been told I look like a little fox. I was found as a stray by a family who could not keep me. 🐾 I came to a house with five cats and ten other dogs. I immediately liked all of them. When a dog came to visit for Thanksgiving, I didn't like him very much. Maybe because he was very big. When the vet neutered me, he guessed my age to be about five years. I did not like going to the vet at all. I barked and barked at all the people. I don't like people other than the ones that live in my family. I'm afraid of guests and visitors so I will bark and bark and act mean. When I am with my family, I am the perfect dog. I like to go on walks and walk fast. I always go to the bathroom outside. I don't even care if it's cold or raining. Sometimes I don't want to come in and my foster mom has to chase me. I love being chased. You have to be pretty quick to catch me. I definitely need a secure fenced in yard to run and play because if I got away I would run fast and no one would be able to catch me. I love playing with toys. Sometimes I play with them by myself. I love when my foster mom throws toys for me and I run and get them. When the weather is bad, my foster mom chases me around the house. I have to have my energy needs met. Although I love to play, I also love to cuddle and sleep next to my foster mom. I even sleep in the bed with her at night and sometimes go under the covers. I have to mention food because I really really love food. I will do anything for food. If you love small dogs and and are familiar with chihuahuas, then I could be the dog for you. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate.
