My story

Meet Romeo, a laidback, low-energy guy who is pretty much set in his ways. Don`t expect him to change. He`s sweet, independent, and gentle, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal friend. Sometimes he might be a bit needy. He has put on too much weight and needs you to help him shed a bit of his 22 pounds so he doesn`t look so much like a potato with legs. He is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. He is crate trained and leash trained too. He loves walks and being by himself. He`s not a party animal. He likes being petted and cherishes belly rubs and ear scratches. He`s a bit of a loner, preferring the company of his human friends over other dogs. He is easygoing, playful, cautious, dominant, and sometimes fearful around other dogs so please bring yours to meet him. He is friendly and tolerant around cats but possessive of his food. He would be happiest as your one and only pet however. He has lived with kids as young as three and was easygoing, friendly, and gentle. However, he doesn`t behave well when startled, especially around people he doesn`t know or trust, so he`ll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. He is very selective about his companions - human and animal - and doesn`t appreciate someone forcing themselves into his space. He only got into trouble for being too vocal, usually when in guard-dog mode and barking at unknown visitors. He was given up because his owner moved and he wasn`t allowed to go with her.
