My story

Bison here! I have been waiting at Frosted Faces for a while now for my forever family…it will have been 2 years this coming April. I know my people are out there, so I am being patient, staying positive, and keeping my chin up. I like to spend a lot of my time during the day soaking up the sun in one of the yards so that you are sure to notice me when you stop by…you can’t miss me, I’m that big, really handsome guy who is usually just chilling and showing everyone what a good boy I am. After spending my first 14 years living in a backyard, I’ve discovered that indoor life is the life—especially when it includes soft blankets and a cozy Frosted Faces office spot under the desk (hey, I’m a VIP around here!) I love having a quiet spot to nap, but I also enjoy hanging out with my people. Giving kisses and getting lots of pets is my thing. I may not have the best leash manners (they’re still a work in progress), but I sure know how to sit, shake both paws like a pro, and even fetch! I’m not exactly a speed demon anymore, but I’ve got a great sense of humor and love to play, even if I’m a little slower on my feet. I’m easy-going and would be perfectly content to spend my days hanging out with you, enjoying the simple pleasures—like a good meal, some toy time, and lots of love. I’m a big guy with an even bigger heart, so if you’re looking for a gentle soul who’s been through a lot but still has plenty of love to give, I think we’d get along great! If you are wondering how my leash skills are coming along, check out some of the Facebook posts on Behind the Scenes at Frosted Faces Foundation that my friends have recently added. You will also notice that I am pretty darn good at riding in a car. One last thing before you head over to meet me, I am part of this really special program here at Frosted Faces called the Molly & Me Project. What does that mean? Well…in a nutshell, it means that I would like to be an only dog (no other four-legged friends in my home please). You can read more about all of the great incentives that come along with picking me as your four-legged companion at http://frostedfacesfoundation.org/mollymeproject ******************************************* Bison went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and after not being in a home environment for so long, he settled right in! His Fling Mom reports: "This sweet, goofy boy had us smiling nonstop! From climbing into my luggage to “discovering” collectible Sloth stuffies (because of course, they look like toys), Bison’s playful curiosity is endlessly entertaining. Sure, there were a few “not for you” moments (fluffy socks and luggage, anyone?), but who can resist that charm? On his walks, Bison has been a total rockstar! My husband has been walking him solo with no leash pulling! While scooters aren’t his fave (totally normal), he’s otherwise polite, curious, and loves exploring. Bison is a toy enthusiast, already loving tug-of-war and enrichment play. His big-dog toys are on the way, but he’s keeping busy and happy in the meantime. We also got to hear his adorable “oh hey, hi!” bark from the patio and a playful bark during games—this guy has the cutest vocal personality! At the window, he’s calm and curious, just watching the world go by without a care. After a day full of fun, Bison is a couch potato at night, snoozing peacefully on the comfiest spot in the house. Even when my “mom instincts” kicked in after a little nighttime cough (sorry for startling you, buddy!), Bison just responded with sweet kisses. What a lovebug! Bison is the whole package: funny, friendly, and full of love. He’s adoptable and ready for his forever home! Could you be his perfect match?" Bison is back on-site and ready to meet his forever family. Might that be you? Drop by between 10 AM and 3 PM any day of the week to meet Bison and see if he is the new best friend you've been lookin for!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bison, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
