My story

Mermaid is a 4-year-old sweetheart who’s equal parts affectionate, friendly, and easy to love. She’s enjoyed time out of the shelter on both day outings and weekend sleepovers, where she showed off her calm, cuddly personality and excellent manners. She appears to be potty trained, knows several basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “come,” and walks nicely on leash with just a bit of enthusiasm.Mermaid has had positive interactions with men, women, and other dogs. Her play style with dogs is friendly and flexible — she can both chill or play, but she prefers respectful companions and doesn`t enjoy dogs who get right in her face. She’s been described as independent, interactive, and a little awkward in the most endearing way. Mermaid loves being part of the action, whether that’s going for a walk or curling up to relax at home. She listens well, settles quickly, and bonds closely with her people.
