My story

Gunner von Gusten is a delightful 2 year old Shepherd/Husky mix. Gunner is a sweet, affectionate, happy and goofy ‘bro' of a dog. Gunner’s your buddy who’s up for pretty much anything – walk? Cool. Hike? Let’s go! Gunner had a lot of professional training and it shows. His good cheer is contagious, so much so, that he even makes the best of being in a kennel. He would love a home where he has a chance to expend some energy and show off what he knows. As long as there are no small dogs, cats or young children in his new family, he will make an amazing addition to any home. Rescued from the Lancaster animal shelter. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
