My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application Penelope came in from a hoarding situation where we were called out by animal control to help. She is 5 years old and very sweet. Penelope is a Rat Terrier Mix. She is approximately 5 years old and weighs 9 pounds.  Like her sister Pebbles, she is extremely petite and a little skittish.  It will take her a day or 2 to warm up to her new family, but when she does, she will want to stay by your side.  She was removed from a hoarding case and was living outside with 8 other females.  Penelope is very attached to her sister Pebbles and it would be amazing if they were adopted together, but she could be adopted separately.  Penelope will curl up in your lap and sleep for hours if you let her.  She is very sweet and will become very attached to her new family.  We are working on housebreaking, but she is doing well with a pad.  She sleeps in a crate with her sister at night, but would rather be curled up with her human.  For the neglect that this girl has been through, she has an amazing personality.  She deserves to be pampered and loved.  If you are interested in Penelope, please go to Animaladvocatesfl.org to put in an application for more information on this amazing pup.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 28, 2025, 12:35 pm
