My story

Birthday: July 19, 2023 Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Gambit has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts him. People think that cats are a gambit; they are either the most loving creatures on the planet, or they want nothing to do with people.  When this boy was discovered, we realized that he definitely preferred other kitties to humans.  He seemed terrified whenever strange people entered the room, and it made them think that he was incredibly uninterested.  However, after his foster began to learn more about him, they realized that this kitty doesn't dislike people.  He's just incredibly nervous around them!  In fact, with the help of his foster, this boy has been making strides to become more accustomed to people!  He's showing interest!  Hence, why this boy was named Gambit!  We made a bet, and Gambit is coming through! Gambit is a curious fella by nature, and it shows whenever humans do strange things!  He likes to stick his nose in places that probably don't need it, and when he sees a human reacts, he jumps back like he committed a crime!  However, his curiosity always gets the better of him!  He's not a big fan of pets... yet!  He'll bolt out of a room whenever you try to pet him, but he always sees to have that sense of intrigue in his eye whenever a human tries to touch him.  It's almost as if he wants to try, but he needs to do it at his own pace!  We can understand that! We may have written Gambit to sound like a scaredy cat, but he's much more than that!  We think we know a way to his heart that might help you out!  His curious nature makes it easy to introduce new toys to him!  And, boy, does this fella love to play!  You would have never thought a kitty who was so nervous of people would be so energetic and silly!  So far, we have discovered that his favorite toy are balls, so you might want to stock up on some!  The other thing that he loves is snacks!  We think that most of us agree that a way to someone's heart is through their stomach!  Gambit is no exception!  Give him a snack here and a treat there whenever he does something good, and we think that in no time you'll have your friend for life!  And don't worry if you have other kitties at home!  Gambit absolutely adores other kitties! Gambit's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter. If you would like more information on Gambit, please contact Jamie at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com.
