My story

Hi there! I'm Matilda, and I'm so excited to introduce myself to you. My journey started in the Redlands, where my puppies and I were rescued in November 2023. Since then, our lives turned around, thanks to the kind people at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. My puppies have all found their new families just in time for the New Year (2024), and now I'm hoping that the end of 2024 will be MY time to go home too! I'm a gentle soul, still young myself, at just over a year old. I've learned some basic commands, like "sit," and I'm a pretty good leash walker too. I'm strong, but I'm eager to please and with the right training (which Big Dog Ranch even offers for free when you adopt me!), I know I can be the best companion you could ever wish for. I am a bit picky about which dogs I socialize with but if the trainers give us a proper introduction in the event you have a sociable fur-baby already I will do my best to get along. What I dream of most is a loving home where I can finally be treated like the baby I didn't get to be when I was younger. I want to cuddle, play and get belly rubs! I have so much love to give, and I'm just waiting for that special person to find me and take me home. Oh, and by the way, don't I look pretty in pink? I can't wait to meet you and make your life a little brighter!
