My story

Draco is looking for his forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Meet Drake: A Low-Riding Meatball with Big Opinions If you’ve ever wished for a dog who looks like he was built in a basement out of spare parts, yet also somehow it all works exactly as it should—congratulations—Drake is your guy. At 3 years old, Drakey is in his prime of life and has mastered the art of being both a lovable goofball and an inquisitive young pup with the wisdom of a dog who has lived through more than most at his age. Drake has opinions—about where he should walk, what time dinner should be served, and whether or not that mysterious object in the corner has been there all along (it hasn’t). He approaches life with the energy of a guy who drinks Mountain Dew for breakfast, and his idea of NASCAR is zooming full speed across your living room before flopping over like a beached seal. Here’s the good news: Drake is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and even muzzle-trained for vet visits (because, like many of us, he has strong feelings about the doctor). He’s also a playful dude who enjoys the company of confident, tolerant dogs—or, alternatively, ruling his kingdom as the only pet in the house. Drake thrives with patient, dog-savvy humans who appreciate his quirks and don’t mind a little personality in their pup. He’s best suited for a home with kids 12+, because his zoomies are enthusiastic, and his snuggles are more of a full-body tackle than a gentle lean. He also has some allergies, but they’re easily managed with meds, a special diet, and the occasional soothing spa treatment (which he tolerates begrudgingly and with many many treatos). If you’re looking for a best friend who’s equal parts cuddly and ridiculous, Drake is ready to move in, take over your couch, and steal your heart (and maybe your snacks). Apply to meet him today—you won’t regret it! Please check out Draco's video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsfBr8QahV0 ATTRIBUTES: Draco lives in foster with another dog. He would do best with children 12 years and older. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Our adoption fees are not inclusive of all vetting / medical care, food, supplies and/or training costs. Since we rely on donations to compensate for those deficits we are unable to reduce or refund this fee. TO ADOPT OR FOSTER: Please apply on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org or email info@lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org if you have questions! TO DONATE: Please consider making a donation on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org so that Laila's Legacy can continue to provide lifesaving medical treatment and training.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Draco (AKA Drake), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
