Meet Petey! Petey is a 9-year-old, 56lb Pitt Bull mix who loves lounging at home with his people. A perfect day for Petey would include exploring his yard, a brief 5-minute play session, followed by napping the rest of the day away! He is a low-key guy that takes time to warm up to new people. Once he realizes you're his friend he likes to stay close. Petey is house trained and crate trained, though he would prefer to free roam. Although he is a low energy dog, he does not enjoy other dogs, cats or children and will need an adult-only, calm, quiet home. Petey is searching for a family who will help give him the confidence and time he needs to be his best self! If you are interested in a loyal, couch-loving buddy, Petey may be the one for you! To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
