My story

Meet Tootsie, a shy but incredibly sweet and affectionate pit bull mix. While Tootsie exhibited anxiousness in the shelter setting, living with a foster family, she’s proven how deeply she can bond with family in a home environment. Her favorite thing is snuggling on the couch (with a cozy blanket!) and she loves getting pets, belly rubs and cuddles. She is super loyal to those that she bonds with and likes to have her favorite people within sight. While she doesn’t need a lot of exercise, she definitely has a playful side and has fun running around the house or yard playing `keep away` with her favorite toy. She is also very well behaved in the home setting; she is house trained, knows basic training cues, respects `people food` left on the table, does not bark (unless surprised) and is comfortable traveling in a car. Given her shy and sensitive nature, Tootsie will prefer a quieter home without a lot of activity. Other dogs, and strangers coming into the home, make her anxious. This sweet girl will do best in a home that can provide her with patience, love and a lot of affection!Tootsie qualifies for the Seniors for Seniors program, so her adoption fee is waived for any adopter over 60!I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!
