Meet Hanson, a lovable three-year-old male who truly believes he’s a lap dog, despite his impressive 60+ pound frame! This gentle giant has a heart full of affection, ready to share his warmth and playfulness with the right family. He thrives on companionship and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to an active household. Hanson has a special story; as a puppy, he faced a challenge when an accident left one of his front paws injured. But that hasn’t dampened his spirit! With determination and zest for life, he conquers every moment with joy. He loves to engage with enrichment toys that keep his mind active, and his playful personality is sure to bring smiles to your home. After spending over 2 1/2 years with us at the Humane Society of West Michigan, Hanson is our longest-term resident, and we are eager to help him find his forever home. He will thrive best in an adult-only household that can provide the love and attention he deserves.
